Kalyan: Two men duped 4 people of INR 40 lakhs in four years

A man duped INR 40 laks in the span of four years from a 47-year-old woman living in Jimmy Bagh area in East Kalyan, along with two cousins of three others,by assuring them a job in Mantralaya. The victims have lodged a complaint at the Kolsewadi police station as the former did not get any job in Mantralaya.  


The names of the complainants are Mukta Laxman Chandelkar (47), Manoj Yashwam Devlekar, Prashant Sambhaji Chandelkar, Umesh Virji Vegda. Complainant Mukta Chandelkar lives in Jimmy Bagh area of Kalyan East. She runs a Xerox and typing center. From the money earned through this, they support their families. Ghanshyam Hiraman Dhade, Jaywant Pashte are the names of the acaccused.

The police said that the accused Ghanshyam Dhade has contacts in the Mantralaya.  He told three persons including complainant Mukta Chandelkar four years ago that he has employed many people in Mantralaya. He also said that in return, senior officials, intermediaries will have to pay money. Mukta along with others prepared to get a job by paying money.

During the last four years, Dhade and Pashte collected 11 lakh 65 thousand rupees from Mukta, 18 lakh 12 thousand rupees from Manoj Devlekar, 5 lakh 6 thousand rupees from Prashant, and 4 lakh 88 thousand rupees from Umesh. In this way, the accused wrongfully earned 39 lakh 79 thousand rupees from four persons.
