Two women have been charged with an offence following a violent altercation in a Navi Mumbai Police Station. The case was initiated after a complaint was lodged by a Panvel police officer on May 26.

The incident unfolded on May 14 when one of the accused women arrived at the police station to file a complaint against the other woman. However, a fight erupted between the two parties. The altercation turned physical, with both women assaulting each other inside the police station. Verbal attacks were also exchanged.

It led the police to take action against the women involved. Under section 160 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), charges were filed, which specifically deals with committing an affray (a public fight or brawl) inside a police station. However, no arrests have been made thus far.
