Vijay Mallya extradition case: CBI sends video of Mallya's future jail cell to UK court

Fugitive liquor baron Vijay Mallya had earlier mentioned during a hearing in a UK court that Indian prisons are not in a good condition. Thus, the UK court had demanded the Indian authorities to send a video of the barrack where they intended to keep Mallya.

Fugitive liquor baron Vijay Mallya has been in a lot of trouble after he fled the country owing ₹9,000 crore to Indian banks. When he stated that he was ready to come to India and clear off all the charges against him, he also stated that the prisons in India are not in good condition. 

In response, the UK court ordered Indian authorities to submit a video of the barrack where Mallya will be held.

After which, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) reportedly sent UK authorities the video of the barrack where Mallya will be lodged. The submission shows that the cell, where the defaulter will be held, has been renovated, painted white, and now has a 40-inch LCD TV along with a western-style toilet.

While the businessman has been absconding from India since 2012 after owing ₹9,000 crore, he is said to have had a golden toilet in his UK mansion. It is a matter of concern that how someone who would relieve himself on a golden toilet, get used to a normal toilet!
