During the IPL match between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Daredevils at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, a 22-year-old woman was molested. The incident took place at Sachin Tendulkar stand, Wankhede stadium. The accused Gendraj Dadulal Satnami (26) has been arrested and has been sent to police custody until Tuesday.
The victim had come from Vile Parle to watch the cricket match with her friends and was sitting in Sachin Tendulkar stand. Meanwhile, accused Gendraj Dadulal Satnami came with a water bottle and offered her the same. Initially, she denied it but the accused kept forcing her to take the water bottle.

After noticing the victim’s friends being engrossed with the match, the accused tried getting close to the victim who then went to the other side but the accused was in no mood to let her go. He grabbed the opportunity and molested the victim. This made the victim scream after which the accused ran away.
Seeing the accused running away, she immediately complained to the police who ran after the accused and caught him and was handed over to Marine Drive police station.
Gendraj was there when the victim was molested and police have filed the wrong case against Gendraj. Police should look for CCTV footage to arrest the main culprit,” Sunil Pande, Gendraj's advocate.
