Another incident of attempt of suicide has come to light just after six days when a woman tried committing suicide by pouring kerosene on her outside Mantralaya
A series of suicide attempts outside Mantralaya continues despite tight police security. Six-days ago, 39-year-old Alka Karande, an Osmanabad resident, had tried committing suicide because a moneylender was harassing her.
A similar incident took place on Wednesday when Radhabai Salunkhe, a Beed resident, tried committing suicide outside Mantralaya. She tried to kill herself by pouring kerosene on herself. Fortunately, she was saved by the police personnel who were stationed outside Mantralaya.
Upon interrogation, she told the police that she tried committing suicide because she lost a case in the court and her land as well. The police personnel nabbed her and took her to the Marine Drive police station. Currently, she has been kept in the custody of Marine Drive police.
