Hotstar Specials recently launched the biggest spy action-thriller - Special Ops. Directed by Neeraj Pandey and Shivam Nair, this fast-paced 8-episode series is based on the role of Indian intelligence in a series of real terror attacks that India faced over the last 19 years including the 26/11 attacks.
Since its launch last week, the show has received a great response from audiences across the country and B-Town Celebs are not far behind. Hrithik Roshan took to social media to share his views on the show.
He said, “So I’ve finally found some time to catch up on some amazing content. I got a call from my dad saying that I must watch this show called Special Ops. I started watching it and I had to tell all you guys that this is the best show I have ever seen in my life. The story, the screenplay, Kay Kay Menon and all the actors - this is unbelievable work! Neeraj Pandey, you are a genius!”
Previously, actors Manoj Bajpayee and Taapsee Pannu have gushed about the show.

Taapsee Pannu, who recently began watching the show said “Just started watching Special Ops - it’s a typical Neeraj Pandey espionage thriller. The fact that it brings back memories of the real attack that happened makes it even more personal for every Indian. The end of the episode cliff hanger makes it impossible to not get hooked on to. It’s been long since I saw an espionage thriller web show. Last I saw such a series was Homeland - next will be this.”
Hotstar Specials presents Special Ops features an ensemble cast including acclaimed actor Kay Kay Menon along with the powerhouse talents such as Saiyami Kher, Karan Tacker, Divya Dutta, Vinay Pathak, Muzammil Ibrahim, Vipul Gupta, Sajjad Delafrooz, Parmeet Sethi, Gautami Kapoor, Sana Khan, Sharad Kelkar, KP Mukherjee and many others.
Special Ops is based on the role of Indian intelligence in a series of real terror attacks that India faced over the last 19 years starting with the 2001 attack on Indian Parliament and covers several other events including 26/11 and Kashmir terror attacks. It is about the chase for the single mastermind behind these attacks – making it the longest manhunt in Indian Intelligence for India’s deadliest enemy.
