Actor-producer Karan Veer Mehra celebrated his collaboration with Zee5 and hosted a party for the success of his maiden venture 'Couple of Mistakes'
Karan Veer Mehra set his foot into acting with a couple of shows and after Barkha Bishta brief sabbatical later he returned with a hit web-series and also helmed a production house under the banner Hott Studios.
Karan's maiden venture, a slice of life take on relationships, alongside actress 'Couple of Mistakes' became an online hit instantly that attracted the bigwigs of entertainment business & will see a collaboration between a major channel & his production house that will take the show to a wider platform such as television.
Karan explains, "Everyone's only looking for good content that can help stand out, break the clutter increasing the stakes in this competitive space. It's a digital war with big budgeted shows, bigger actors are being brought together for a web -series with smaller to big players entering the market with respective platforms & I'm a story-teller first, our team is constantly working on creating good content & this collaboration will help us to amplify & reach the masses & help us market it better. It's a win- win situation."
The actor hosted a gathering in a plush suburban watering hole, building a platform where the actors can directly touch-base with the producers and channels making it a one of a kind event that saw the attendance of Barkha and Indraneil Sengupta, Rashmi Desai, Ravi Dubey,Deepshika Nagpal,Kishwer and Suyyash,Raj Singh Arora, Karanveer Grover,Hunar Ali, Mayank Gandhi & Meghna Naidu.
The actor ventured in the world of web way before it became the web we know now, "I started out about 7 years back & it wasn't a powerful medium as it is now. Smartphones made it easier & it will only grow. I wasn't wary when I first experimented as I followed my gut. Whatever works in the West, eventually comes around back home & works for us too. Be it a hit show like KBC or Bigg Boss, superhero movies, web series, only now it reaches us faster."
The actor who will be next seen in the second season of It's not that simple.
