Ever since the lockdown started OTT platforms have witnessed a 40-50 per cent surge in consumption. With nothing new coming on TV and no movie halls, binge-watching series and movies on the OTT platforms seem to be the biggest source of entertainment at the moment.

OTT platform Zee5 had on April 8 unveiled its April line up which included a new movie called Bumfad. Now, they have also announced that they will be launching a short film festival on the platform. The very first movie that they will be premiering on their platform is Heartbeat that stars Rajeev Khandelwal and Anupriya Goenka. Heartbeat will be streaming on April 15, 2020.

The announcement was made by Zee5 on their social channel.  The tweet reads, "The #ZEE5 Short Film Festival is here with stories that make for perfect viewing during your short breaks while working from home. Watch #Heartbeat premiering on 15th April."

Heartbeat is an emotional movie and deals with a sensitive topic of Euthanasia, which is also referred to as mercy killing.

Rajeev Khandelwal was recently seen in a Voot Original called Marzi. In this series, he was paired opposite Aahana Kumra. Anupriya, on the other hand, was seen in Asur on the same platform and she was paired opposite Barun Sobti.

Earlier in the year, we had seen some interesting original short films on Flipkart too and each of them was a delight to watch. There is no word on the other short films that Zee5 will be coming out with. However, Mumbai Live will be sharing a review of Heartbeat shortly.
