Beware of Fake IDOL website; Mumbai University files complaint

A shocking case of creation of a fake website of Mumbai University's Center for Distance and Online Education ('CDOE' erstwhile 'Idol') has come to light. Taking cognizance of this matter, the Mumbai University administration has filed a complaint with the Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) Cyber Police.

Also, all the students and stakeholders have been requested to be careful from this fake website by the University of Mumbai. It has been clarified by the Mumbai University administration that https://mu.ac.in/distance-open-learning is the official website and only this website should be used.

At present, the admission process of various courses at degree and postgraduate level of 'Idol' is going on and applications for various courses can be made till 30 August. For first year admission to postgraduate courses, only https://mucdoeadm.samarth.edu.in/ website should be used, requested by the University of Mumbai.
