BMC orders schools not to sell school essentials

Vinod Tawde, State Education Minister is all set to take the bull by horns. The increasing fee in CBSE and ICSE schools is bothering the parents to the core. BMC has sent notice to all the schools that the administration must not enforce students to purchase items from the school centre. The administration made it compulsory for the parents to purchase school essentials, stationery, and other items.

Education Department of civic body has sent notice to aided and unaided schools. Few days before, Bombay Book Sellers and Publishers Association has complained regarding the same. Working on the complaint BMC has issued notice against the institutions to curb the exorbitant fees.
