State Education Minister Vinod Tawde in the Bhartiya Janta Party’s meeting held on 24 April discussed the hike in fees. Tawde has sent this message to all those institutions that if fees are increased they have to bear consequences. An institution can increase the fee charges by 15% in a span of two years. Legal action will be taken against the institutions who will not abide the guidelines. Parents are protesting against the step.
The parents have raised questions on various issues related to exorbitant fee hikes every year, compulsory purchase of school essentials, books, stationery, uniforms etc at the almost double price from the school.
