CBSE has cleared the air on this matter and has mentioned that the official statement in this regards will be released soon and will be made available on the official website of the board.

Earlier in the day, Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank had interacted with students in a live session and had noted that adequate time would be given to the students appearing for the CBSE board exams for Classes 10 and 12 in 2021. He also mentioned that care would be taken to make sure no exams clashed with any entrance exams.

Besides this, in November 2020, the CBSE confirmed that the board examinations 2021 would be conducted offline. The CBSE’s Controller of Examinations had then added that there was a possibility for students to get additional gap days between their exams in comparison to the last year, and this was decided due to the outbreak of the coronavirus.

Meanwhile, Varsha Gaikwad, Maharashtra Education Minister, speaking to the media had earlier stated that the class 10 and class 12 board examinations will be conducted in the offline mode only.

She further stated that it would not be feasible to alter the pattern of the SSC and HSC examinations. Gaikwad, speaking about the dates for the same, added that the government is trying its best to conduct the examinations between the months of April and May. Usually, the board examinations are conducted in the months of February and March. However, most of the examinations have been postponed this year due to the pandemic situation.
