On Wednesday, July 21, the Maharashtra board began the registration process for the First Year Junior College (FYJC) admissions on the official website.

Moreover, the CET application forms for 2021 will have to be filled in an online mode only. The Maharashtra state education board had earlier decided to conduct the optional Common Entrance Test (CET) for admissions to Class XI, first-year junior college, on August 21 between 11 am to 1 pm.

According to reports, the examinations will be held offline in a multiple-choice question format. Moreover, the Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) based question paper will be of 100 marks based on the Class 10 curriculum of the state board. In addition, it will be available in eight mediums. Students can notify the medium in their application forms.

Meanwhile, the students have to answer questions from four subjects namely, English, Mathematics, Science, Social Sciences subjects. The subjects will carry 25 per cent weightage of marks each. However, the papers will not have questions from topics that were omitted from the curriculum in 2020-21. Maharashtra Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad had earlier on Monday, July 19 informed the same with the complete chapter-wise syllabus being released by the state education department through a notice issued about online CET.
