In an attempt to eliminate the fake degree certificates, Mumbai University has been making results available online. Similarly, this year, the university is going to release the results online through National Academic Depository (NAD).
For the last six years, the educational institute has published over 11,00,000 mark sheets online. This year too, the University uploaded 1,93,589 results online. The entire initiative was started by the institution in order to curb the rising incidents of fake degree certificates being issued.

Thus, now the students can use the marksheets as proof of their degree and can also submit it as a valid document.
The University officials stated that on several occasions, the students have been producing fake marksheets to gain jobs. Therefore, after Mumbai University's attempt to authenticate the marksheets, now the companies can verify the certificates.
