Mulund- Nowadays, fire incidents have increased in Mumbai city. Considering the need, two days disaster management seminar was organised at Mulund’s Kelkar College. Senior fire officer Eknath Maatle was present to guide the students. “We are happy that students showed interest in learning the basic training of fire fighting. This will create awareness among the students,” said Eknath Maatle, chief fire officer. This session was organsied by NSS students of Kelkar college. “Our main motto was to create awareness regarding fire safety. This was not just a session but students were given the demonstration to the students,” said Krantisingh Rajput. Students of other colleges had participated in this seminar. “I found this seminar very interesting. If a fire takes place then at least we know what measures to undertake till fire engines reached the spot,” said Madhuri Parab, student, Menon college.
