Mumbai University’s Institute of Distance and Open Learning (IDOL) has said that it will hold separate examinations for those who will also take their CET (common entrance test) for physical education and law. This comes as dates of the final year exams of BA and MA students overlap with the law and physical education CET.

These exams which were originally scheduled to take place on November 2, 3, and 4 have hence been pushed to November 6, 7, and 9 respectively. It is said that around 35 MA final year and 44 BA final year students will participate in the examinations.

Students will have to go through a process which involves sending an email to onlineexam2020@idol.mu.ac.in with details including seat number, contact as well as details of the paper. Students are also required to send their hall tickets to the official IDOL email address provided above.

It’s clear that the coronavirus pandemic has significantly impacted students and their preparedness for an examination. However, with schools and other educational institutions likely to open in November, authorities will face a challenging task to ensure the process goes smoothly. So far, examinations in the state have been conducted virtually, though some students have faced issues owing to poor software framework.
