According to reports, the final-year post-graduate medical exams of Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), which were scheduled to commence on May 25, will now commence on June 24.

Due to the rise in cases of coronavirus across Maharashtra, most PG doctors in government and civic medical colleges have been called back for duty. Therefore, the doctors have demanded a study leave of 45 days.

Moreover, the decision to postpone the examination was taken by the board of examinations on Tuesday, March 30. However, the Maharashtra Association of Resident Doctors, in a letter requested the university to not postpone the examinations for more than a month.

On the other hand, on March 24, the University of Mumbai (MU) informed that it is to conduct the examinations for the final-semester online. Moreover, the varsity announced that the examination will be conducted at the college level with multiple choice questions for traditional courses and descriptive questions for the vocational courses.

Meanwhile, the examination for the vocational courses will be of 80 marks. There will be 40 marks for multiple-choice questions and 40 marks for writing answers to descriptive questions. As per the circular, students will be given two hours for this.

According to reports, the final or Semester 6 regular and backlog theory exams of UG courses under Arts, Commerce and Science will be conducted from May 6 to 21. The Semester 1 to 4 regular and backlog exams will be conducted from April 15 to May 5. The Semester 5 backlog exams will be conducted from May 24 to June 2, 2021.
