Maharashtra SSC and HSC board examination 2021 dates annnounced

State Education Minister, Varsha Gaikwad, stated that Class 10 and 12 (SSC and HSC Board examinations) will be held in the months of April and May 2021, and the results will be announced in July and August 2021.

Over the last few weeks, students across the state have been worried as the dates of the upcoming 10th and 12th exams, i.e. HSC and SSC board exams were expected to be announced. Addressing the same, and with an aim to offer relief, the state government has stated that the Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has given permission for the same to be conducted in the state. 

As per reports, School Education Minister Varshan Gaikwad has announced the dates of the Maharashtra HSC and SSC (Standard 10 and 12) board exams on Thursday, January 21, 2021.

As per the information given by Varsha Gaikwad, the school education department has decided to conduct the SSC board examination from April 29 to May 31, 2021, and the results of these will be announced in the last week of August 2021.

Furthermore, the HSC Board Examinations in Maharashtra will be held between 23rd April to 29th May 2021. The results of this test will be announced in the last week of July 2021.

Varsha Gaikwad also clarified that the safety of students and staff will be kept as a priority amidst the spread of coronavirus pandemic. 

Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal had announced the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) exam dates on December 31. Accordingly, CBSE 10th and 12th practical examinations will start from March 1, 2021, and written examinations will start from May 4 and will continue till June 10. The results of the same will be announced by July 15.

Students had been wondering about the State Secondary and Higher Secondary Board examinations, and while announcing the same, Varsha Gaikwad has also assured that the results of Class XII will be released before the end of July and the results of Class X will be released before the end of August.

Currently, classes for standard 9-12 have started in most parts of the state except Mumbai and Thane. The Department of School Education has also instructed to start schools to reopen for Classes 5-8, however, permission is yet to be sought from the Department of Public Health. This year, students from class X-XII have been preparing for the same through online studies.
