The State Education Board had announced that Aadhaar card was mandatory for class 10th and 12th examinations and results, after which students protested against it.
Now the education department has withdrawn its decision after seeing the protest, they announced that due to the absence of an Aadhaar card, students won’t be barred from attending the examination, nor will their results be held up.
In fact, a few days ago, it was decided on by the education department that it is necessary for the students to submit the Aadhaar card information before the results. Students who do not have an Aadhaar card at the time of the examination will be barred and the results will be held up as well.

State Education Minister Vinod Tawde, while giving a clarification over this matter said that Aadhar card won’t be made mandatory.
The Board has clarified that an Aadhaar card is required for a scholarship at all levels.
