Mumbai University’s goof-ups are never-ending. In a recent case, MU marked one of the toppers absent in all four subjects in his sixth and final semester whose final semester score was 71.75 per cent. Parshva Bhankharia is a Government Law College student.

According to reports in TOI, Bhankharia who is a topper from GLC, was marked absent in all his final semester papers despite scoring 65 per cent in his previous semesters. However, he had to visit MU several times to get his mark sheet which he got before Diwali.

Bhankharia told TOI that he was happy to receive his mark sheet prior to LLM admissions which were postponed. He added that he was scared that he would lose his one year owing to Varsity’s goof-up.

MU’s decision of carrying out an online assessment lead to delay in results and many students were marked absent as their answer sheets were untraceable.

After answer sheets went missing, MU traced 3,700 of them and gave an average score in the remaining subjects. Yet, the misery continues for students who have applied for revaluation who were marked absent in one or two subjects. It is believed that it will take another two to three weeks for the revaluation process to complete and hence, students will not be able to appear for the repeaters’ exam post-Diwali. So far, MU has received 50,000 applications for revaluation.
