Mumbai University declares third and final merit list for degree courses

The third merit list of the degree courses has been declared and admission for the students who have made it on the list has been scheduled on July 19 and 20.

On Wednesday, the third and final merit list of the degree courses for admission in Mumbai University-affiliated colleges was declared. Majority of the students will get admission in the merit list. The cut-off set for the admission varies as per the student’s HSC stream. B.Sc, B.Sc Computer Science (CS) and B.Sc Information Technology (IT) have recorded the highest cut-offs.

If any student does not get admission in even the third list and if seats are vacant in college, then the University might release the Second Phase for admissions. Earlier, the students saw a delay in the admission of degree courses as the state government and Mumbai University awaited Supreme Court’s verdict. After the apex court’s verdict, the second merit list was declared by the colleges.

Xavier's College has the highest cut-off for B.Sc (83.23 per cent) and B.Sc IT (86 marks in mathematics). The students have to secure their seats by completing the admission procedure before July 20.
