A golden opportunity of tailoring training is being provided by Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation Social Development Department for women and girls who are interested and eligible to get proper education about sewing art. This tailoring training is being provided through the Government recognised District Board of Vocational Education and Training.
Under the guidance of Navi Mumbai Municipal Commissioner Rajesh Narvekar, while various welfare schemes are being implemented for Women Empowerment on behalf of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation Social Development Department, this initiative is aimed at providing technical empowerment to women and girls through tailoring.
The admission session for this semester business course in the year 2023-24 is from July 01, 2023 to December 31, 2023. There are two vocational courses and for the first sewing-kartan vocational course 7th pass educational qualification is required and in this it is taught to make a total of 30 types of clothes for children, women and men. Similarly for the second specialisation in blouse course etc. 8th passed educational qualification is required along with Sivan-Kartan examination.

The benefits of this training can be availed only by women and girls who are residents of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation area and while taking admission, one proof of residence such as Property Tax Receipt, Voting Card, Aadhaar Card, Ration Card must be submitted. The said course is available in Marathi, Hindi and English mediums.
School certificate and mark sheet are required for the admission process and marriage registration certificate is required for married women. It is also necessary to add your own Aadhaar card and PAN card. This tailoring training is completely free and only the government exam fee amount is required to be paid. The last date for filling the admission form for this course is July 21 and the admission fee is INR 300. After the last date between July 22 to July 30, INR 50 with late fee of INR 350 have to be admitted by paying the admission fee amount.
