The Maharashtra State Technical Education Board will digitally save the academic certificates of about nine lakh students on National Academic Depository. The diploma certificates will be provided by the Maharashtra State Technical Education Board (MSTEB).

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was recently signed in the presence of Maharashtra Education Minister Vinod Tawde. The MoU was made through an online system by the Maharashtra State Technical Education Board Director, Dr Vinod Mohitkar and Executive Director of Central Depository Services Limited, Joydeep Dutta.

According to the Digital India Policy of Union Human Resource Development and University Grants Commission, the certificates will be digitally saved. This will enable students to easily get digital or printed copies of their academic certificates. It will be also possible for all the students to verify the authenticity of certificates through the online educational depository.
