State government sanctions INR 10 crore to set up the "Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Adhyasana" centre in JNU

The state government has sanctioned a sum of INR 10 crore to set up the "Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Adhyasana" centre at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in New Delhi. Cultural Affairs Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar took the initiative for this. The fund was approved in the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Committee meeting chaired by him on Monday.


This fund will be distributed to Jawaharlal Nehru University through the Department of Cultural Affairs and Department of Higher and Technical Education of the State Government. This year is the 350th year of the coronation of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and it is being celebrated by the State Government through various activities across the State. Is being celebrated.

The state government will collaborate with JNU to design the curriculum for this study, arrange subjects and conduct research on various aspects related to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The thesis will relate to research on (1) internal security, (2) Maratha naval strategy in the western Indian Ocean, (3) guerrilla cavalry (4) tactics in fortification, (5) Maratha history. Courses on military strategy, forts and fortifications of the Maratha Empire will also be available along with facilities for diploma, degree and Vidyavachaspati degree (PhD) in Marathi language. In this session, work will be done as per the rules of the University Grants Commission.
