In July-August 2018, the supplementary examinations were conducted for the students who were unable to clear the SSC exam in March 2018. The results of the SSC Supplementary examination conducted by Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBHSE) will be announced on Wednesday, August 29 1:00 pm onwards.

Around 33,879 students had appeared for the supplementary examinations from Mumbai. The examinations were conducted from July 17 to August 2 and the fate of several students who failed to clear the main examinations lies in the declaration of these results.

Students who passed this year's examination in July-August 2018 can apply for revaluation of the answer sheets from 30 August to 8 September if they intend to. Alongside, from August 30 to September 18, students can also apply for photocopy of their answer sheets. However, students who’ve failed to clear even the supplementary examinations can apply for March 2019 examinations after the education board declares the dates for application.
In this year's July-August 2018 HSC examination, 1,02,314 students applied from Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Kolhapur, Amravati, Nashik, Latur and Konkan, out of which 1,02,060 students appeared for the examination. However, only 23,140 students passed the examination, which is 22.65 per cent of the total students that appeared.
