The SSC results this year was announced on Saturday, June 8 and even though the topper Arya Belwalkar scored 98.8 per cent, many other students weren't satisfied with their scores. Along with the change in the syllabus, this year the marking system also changed.
In the previous years, there were 20 marks for internal assessment in each language which gave impetus to the overall score. However, it was discontinued this year and the success rate dropped over 10 per cent in the state.

After getting their results on Saturday, many students who were unsatisfied with their scores, lined up at the divisional board in Vashi for re-evaluation of their marks or to receive the photocopy of their answer sheet. The Vashi divisional board covers the city of Mumbai, Thane, Palghar and Raigad received 620 applications for obtaining a photocopy and 133 application for verification.

The deadline to apply for verification of marks is June 19 and it costs ₹50 per subject. The deadline to apply for photocopies of answer sheets is June 29. Students can even apply online for their photocopies at www.results.sscboardmumbai.in. Photocopies of answer sheets and re-evaluation costs ₹400 and ₹300 per subject respectively.
