State Extends Tenure of Trilingual Policy Committee Headed by Dr. Narendra Jadhav by One Month
In line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the state government has decided to extend the tenure of the committee formed to draft a three-language policy for schools. The committee is chaired by noted educationist Dr. Narendra Jadhav. Its term has now been extended from January 5 to February 4, 2026, for a period of one month.
The School Education Department issued a Government Resolution (GR) in this regard.
Earlier, through a GR dated December 15, 2025, the committee had already been granted a one-month extension from December 5, 2025 to January 4, 2026. However, considering the need for further deliberation and analysis of questions and responses received through various public forums and polls hosted on the committee’s website, the government has now allowed the committee time until February 4, 2026.
In a letter dated January 2, 2026, Dr. Narendra Jadhav had informed the government that, in view of other ongoing responsibilities, it was necessary to extend the committee’s tenure. He had also requested the required action to grant a one-month extension.
Accordingly, the government resolution clearly states that the tenure of the Trilingual Policy Committee has been extended by one month.
