The Shiv Sena (UBT) and the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) have opposed the Bihar government’s plan to construct a Bihar Bhavan in Mumbai. However, the JD(U)–BJP alliance led by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has strongly hit back at both parties.
JD(U) senior leader and Bihar Rural Works Minister Ashok Choudhary accused the two Maharashtra-based parties of hooliganism and asserted that the Bihar Bhavan would be built at any cost. “The Bihar Bhavan will be constructed under any circumstances,” he said firmly.
Earlier, MNS leader and newly elected corporator Yashwant Killedar had claimed that his party would not allow the construction of Bihar Bhavan in Mumbai.
The proposed 30-storey building will have 178 rooms and hostel facilities with 240 beds, primarily intended for cancer patients and their relatives.
