AltBalaji has made a mark in the Indian Digital content space with various offerings. With ace producer Ekta Kapoor’s understanding of the content, the digital website has been able to produce quality shows, most of them with a heavy fan following.

The platform is adding one more to the list of shows, and this time the team is focused on delivering something different, yet relatable. The upcoming show titled ‘Broken, but Beautiful’ is about how one deals with the internal pain after a heartbreak or separation.

The show produced by Sarita Tanwar stars eminent Vikrant Massey and Harleen Sethi in lead roles. Fans have already shown their love for the trailer and the excitement and curiosity is quite high since the first poster was released. Ekta is known to create a difference and surprise fans, and this time again, the makers decided to gift the fans three soul-stirring original songs which were released at a musical evening held in Mumbai recently.

The mellifluous songs are composed and sung by India’s most celebrated musicians like Shreya Ghoshal, Dev Negi, Papon and Miss Pooja, Arijit Singh and the lyrics are penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya.

The songs titled ‘Laute Nahi’ is sung by Papon and composed by Yash Narvekar, ‘Yeh Kya Hua’ is a duet by Shreya Ghoshal and Dev Negi, written by Amitabh Bhattacharya, and a popular Punjabi song ‘Sohneya’ which is sung by Miss Pooja will be part of the music album

Talking about the decision behind an original album, Ekta said, “We felt that the series had an originality and we felt composing new songs would enhance the story. As a conscious decision, we did not want to use the existing Bollywood songs, and so we chose to approach the musicians and singers for these songs. We have used them in some Balaji shows and the fans have loved the songs.”

Adding more by talking about the theme of Broken, Ekta said, “Talking about scars, failures, and setbacks is something that’s not shown in the right way in our shows. It’s like a warrior wearing badges. I feel in between the creases of storytelling on television and films we have lost out on small details of love. There are some shows that deal with absolutely simple emotions and this is what Broken is about.”

The acclaimed actor Vikrant Massey, portraying the character of Veer, shared, “I am confident that Broken will strike many chords with its spellbinding storyline and heart-touching music. The beautiful songs are quite layered and I am extremely happy to be associated with this series.”

Broken is a story that revolves around two individuals with broken hearts, who find each other and realize that sometimes to fix a broken heart one needs to find the pieces of another.
