A Complaint is lodged against popular singer Papon for allegedly kissing a minor girl (Voice India Kids contestant). The complaint has been registered by a Supreme Court advocate Runa Bhuyan under National Commission for Protection of Child Rights Act (POSCO act). Papon is currently seen as a mentor in AndTV’s singing reality show.
As per reports in media, on the occasion of Holi special episode, Papon and his team were LIVE on his Facebook timeline celebrating Holi. The singer is seen applying gulal to one of the female contestants and then kissed her. This incident has brought him in the spotlight for sexual assault on camera, and a black mark on his intentions.
While talking to media the advocate Runa Bhuyan said, "I am shocked to see the behavior of the said singer Angarag Papon Mahanta towards a minor girl where he is seen to be applying colors on a minor girl and inappropriately kissing the said girl. On seeing the video, I am seriously concerned regarding the safety and security of minor girl participating in reality shows across India."
Papon is known for his songs like Moh Moh Ke Dhage from the film Dum Laga Ke Haisha, Bulleya from Sultan, Kyon from Barfi and Jiyein Kyun from the movie Dum Maro Dum.
