Kapil Sharma had become a household name with his chat show on Sony TV named ‘The Kapil Sharma Show,’ however, due to an ugly spat with his friend and colleagues Sunil Grover, Ali Asgar and others, the TRP reduced and sadly the show had to end. As per reports, the show also came to an end as Kapil was busy with his film Firangi.
But he is back! Yes, you heard it right. Kapil Sharma is back on Sony TV with a new format, a new show, which has been kept as a secret! But as per sources close to Mumbai Live, it is said that the comedy king is going to be part of a game show. His show may be inspired by an already successful and running international format, however, nothing has been confirmed about the same. There might be a possibility that the channel or the production house may have acquired rights for the game show.
Further, the source also shares that it will be a one-man show, which means, none of his earlier friends or colleagues may be a part of this new concept he is trying on TV for the first time. This brings some questions to the forefront – will Kapil be the new Ellen DeGeneres in India? Will he be the new game show host on Indian television?
The promo of his upcoming show on Sony TV was released today on social media and Kapil tweeted about the same saying, “here is the first teaser of our new show on @SonyTV need ur best wishes.”
While the channel also shared a message which read, “Laut karaaraha hai Kapil Sharma Sony Entertainment Television par, kuchalaglekar. Iss baarhasikealaavakuchaurbhi hai jo jayegadekar. Kya, kab aurkaise? Jaannekeliyedekhterahiye.”

If one pays attention to the lines in the promo, there is a hint that Kapil will gift people something on the show. The same communication has also been mentioned by the channel in their message. Further, we might see him do more of his signature line and move - Babaji ka Thullu - which became popular across the world with the Indian community.
Well, after delivering a flop with yet another film, it seems like his good days are back. It will be worth watching if he delivers his best once again with his new show like he did with his earlier chat show. What’s on the table? Well, we’ll have to wait and watch.
