MAMI 2019: Registrations begin for 21st Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival

For over two decades now, the popular Mumbai Film Festival has been a 'must-attend' event for cinema lovers across the country, and with gaining popularity, the festival has also attracted many filmmakers to showcase their work to film lovers in the city. After a successful edition in 2018, the team at Mumbai Academy of Moving Images is all set to begin this year's edition. As per the recent announcements, the registration for 21st Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival with Star has begun, and one can book their pass on BookMyShow.

The cost of the season delegate pass this year is ₹500, and passes are also available for children and students at a reduced price. The delegate pass is valid for the entire season, i.e., between October 17 and 24, 2019.

MAMI 2019 will be held between October 17 and 24, 2019, across various venues in Mumbai. However, the MAMI movie mela will be held on October 13, 2019, and the venue for the same will be announced shortly. Back in August, the team announced Geetu Mohandas' 'Moothon' the opening film of this year's Mumbai Film Festival. 

Much ahead of the main festival, the team at MAMI organises multiple events as a part of the festival. These events are organised with an aim to give budding, new-age filmmakers, scriptwriters, and young critics a chance to make their way in the industry.

Over the years, eminent names like Darren Aronofsky, Lucrecia Martel, Hansal Mehta, Konkona Sen Sharma, Kabir Khan, Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane, and many others have been actively involved in inspiring talent at this event.
