After a long wait, the highly anticipated trailer of 'Sacred Games Season 2' has dropped and it is filled with the raw essence of crime, drama, and ambiguity that the show has been popular for. With the classic title track and DIVINE's Kaam 25, the music blends in with what can be simply called an ambiguous trailer.

The trailer shows that Ganesh Gaitonde, played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui, is out of prison where he was seen suffering at the end of last season. The crime lord from Mumbai is out to get revenge and believes that the"game" is bigger than any other character in the show.

Bunty and Kantabai are seen together where the former gets a call, receiving information of Gaitonde's release. There's a lot going on in the trailer which honestly is a bit confusing but one thing is clear, Gaitonde bhau wants revenge and is planning something big in the city.

We can see new additions in Kalki Koechlin and Ranvir Shorey (whose name appears to be Shahid Khan) to the webseries but the most important part is right in the end where Pankaj Tripathi, who plays the mysterious 'Guruji' is seen chanting a mantra. Guruji is apparently Gaitonde's third 'baap', and Pankaj Tripathi's character is expected to be a big part of the puzzle which was left open in the season 1 finale.

The city is under threat with possible explosives planted and Sartaj Singh, played by Saif Ali Khan, has a few days left to save the city from a massive attack which the narrator claims will be as big as the attack on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan.

As the trailer concludes, we can hear Sartaj's father, Dilbagh Singh asking Gaitonde, "Bhagwan mein maante ho?", teasing the audience about the origin of the famous dialogue. Before killing himself, the notorious gangster had warned Sartaj Singh of 25 days before the unknown doom arrives and of which, only 14 days are now remaining.

Season 2 release date is set for August 15, 2019.
