How would you spend 430 bucks in watching a 160-minute movie just to find out that you had to watch 52-minute long commercial along with it? This is precisely what happened with Afroz Mallik who went to watch the film Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, in the PVR Phoenix Mall of Kurla.

Afroz Malik who is the president of Jai Ho Foundation says that he reached the theatre of PVR Phoenix Mall in Kurla on April 29 at 11.40 pm. The movie was supposed to start at 11.40 pm but he reached the cinema hall at 11.35 pm. Afroz Malik accused that the theatre first showed commercials right from 11.35p.m. to 12.02. a.m. and then it kept running advertisements for 20 minutes during the intermission as well.

Malik has a rightful argument that what’s the point of paying 430 bucks when he had to watch 52 minutes of commercial. At the same time, he wrote a letter to the Central Board of Film Certification in which he has asked for information about which PVR Theater showed him such a long advertisement.
