Few days back, Mumbai Live wrote about the new mentors and judges who will be a part of Zee TV’s Dance India Dance, and there were reports about Sahil Khattar joining the show as the host.
It is now confirmed that he will be accompanied by popular actress Amruta Khanvilkar as a co-host. Talking about the same, exclusively to Mumbai Live, Amruta said, “Yes, I’m hosting the show and will start the shoot from October 1, 2017. I’m excited to be a part of a Dance India Dance, as dancing is something I love and enjoy, any day.”
Experiences from the past
Talking about her experience in dance, she also said that winning Nach Baliye and participating in other dance reality shows has added to her excitement. An ardent fan of dance and a loved actress, Amruta wishes to contribute a lot to the show. Adding to this, she said “Kids and contestants today get disheartened with elimination. With my experience, I would want to teach them that life and journey continue even after the show. I would love to encourage the kids about the opportunities they can get in the future.”
Learning from Dance India Dance
Amruta is known for her amazing performances, especially the popular Marathi song “Wajle Ki Bara” from Natrang. She says that it is easy for her to dance to lyrics, but would love to explore different dance styles. On Dance India Dance, she wishes to learn Locking and Popping, as it intrigues her the most. “I love the way Raghav (Juyal) dances. His style is unique and amazing. I would love to learn that on DID 6 and if possible, perform too,” quips Amruta (with excitement).
Being a part of the show with experienced dancers as judges
Dance India Dance is known to give choreographers a chance to be the mentors, as their work has been loved by the industry. These chosen judges have worked with many leading choreographers and hence, they are apt and capable of mentoring the ones who want to make a mark with their dancing skills. Sharing her inputs on the same, Amruta said, “Minnie and I go a long way and working with her again is exciting. These choreographers have a lot to teach and I would be great to improve my knowledge on dance, with their comments and suggestions. All the judges on the show are excellent in dancing.”
Dance India Dance promos have created anticipation among the fans. The auditions for the same have begun and as per sources, makers are trying to bring new elements and aspects on the show.
