Mumbai - Bombay High Court rejected the plea by Rabia Khan, mother of Jiah Khan seeking a special investigation team (SIT) to probe Jiah's case. Actor Sooraj Pancholi has been booked for abetting Jiah's suicide. However, Sooraj has been charged under the section 306 of IPC, which is abetment of suicide. The trial on which was stayed by the division bench of the HC on hearing Rabia’s petition. On June 3, 2013, Jiah was found dead at her residence in Juhu, Mumbai. The body of the actress was found hanging from the ceiling of the house. Actor and Jiah’s alleged boyfriend Sooraj Pancholi was arrested on June 10, for abetting the suicide and was released on July 2 after the High Court granted him bail.
