Actor Vaibhavi Upadhyaya lost her life in a car accident at the age of 32. Producer JD Majethia shared the unfortunate news in a post on Instagram. He informed that the mishap took place in North India.
"Life is so unpredictable. A very fine actress, dear friend Vaibhavi Upadhyaya popularly known as 'Jasmine' of Sarabhai vs Sarabhai passed away. She met with an accident in the north. Family will bring her to Mumbai tomorrow morning around 11 am for last rites. RIP Vaibhavi (sic)," reads JD Majethia's post.
Besides him, Anupama fame Rupali Ganguly too mourned her demise. She wrote, “Gone too soon”.
Her family are getting the body to Mumbai and the last rites will take place on Wednesday at 11:00 am
As per the report by ET Times, at the time of accident, she was in a car with her fiance when the car lost control at a sharp and steep turn.
Vaibhavi had also worked with Deepika Padukone in 'Chhapaak' film in 2020 and 'Timir' (2023).
The news of Vaibhavi's demise comes a few days after actor Aditya Singh Rajput was found dead at his apartment in Andheri, Mumbai on May 22.
