The new season of Engineering Girls directed by Apoorv Singh Karki, revolves around Maggu, Sabu and Kiara and how they are beginning to get serious about life after college as it is their final year.
The show is a fresh take on modern-day Engineering college drama, set in a girls’ hostel. The trailer perfectly captures the essence of this season – ‘Sapnon ki theory, Life ke Practicals’.
Engineering Girls 2.0 follows their daily misadventures and how they solve their way out of every situation to make their dreams come true, coming together, better and stronger in the end.
In an exclusive conversation with Mumbai Live, Engineering Girls 2.0 actress Sejal Kumar talks about how her real and reel life character had a similarity in shaping her career.
“My character, Kiara, in the show is about a girl who’s heart is into acting and Bollywood while she is pursuing engineering. So, I totally relate to this character to a huge extent. As while I was studying Commerce, I had realised that my dreams were completely different from all others in my college. Later, I went ahead to pursue what I loved,” she expressed.
On being asked her parents reaction after making the big revelation of getting into this glamour world the parents, as the actress does not belong a celebrity background, Kumar shared, “Initially, my parents were scared as there is a stereotypical image that if one wants to get into modelling or this glamour world, you need to pose in sexy clothes. However, my father was supportive of whatever I wanted to do in my career. I am trying to do things that excite me and trying to break all the stereotypes.”
