SS Rajamouli is one of the best directors in India. Foreign countries have also taken note of this. This year the song 'Natu Natu' from Rajamouli's film 'RRR' won an Oscar award. There is a constant demand on social media for a director like Rajamouli to make more films on ancient Indian culture.

Rajamouli recently commented on his dream project 'Mahabharat' during an event. Long ago, Rajamouli had expressed his desire to make a film on 'Mahabharat'. Rajamouli has commented on exactly how he wants to present 'Mahabharat'. Rajamouli is going to read what has been written about Mahabharata so far.

Elaborating on this, Rajamouli said, “If I decide to make 'Mahabharat' today, I will spend years reading about it. If we talk about this at present, this is such a big topic that this film can be made in 10 parts. I am always learning from the films I have made so far. I will use this same teaching while making 'Mahabharat'."

Rajamouli added, “When I write the characters for Mahabharat, they will not be like the characters you have seen before. The core of the story will be the same, but will elaborate on the relationships of these characters. I know the audience has already started discussing which actor will play which character. I can elaborate on that only when I write the characters.” Apart from Rajamouli, 'Dangal' director Nitesh Tiwari is also working on the epic 'Ramayana'.
