TV actress Shilpa Shinde who came to fame for her role in And TV’s popular show Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain was barred from CINTAA (Cine And TV Artistes' Association)at its AGM (Annual general meeting) on 2 May 2017. Shilpa was standing for association's annual election a few weeks ago and was elected as a member of executive committee.

If sources are to be believed, “Now that she has been expelled, she won't be allowed to avail any facilities that CINTAA provides its members with”. On which Shilpa said, “After being selected in the committee, I was expelled overnight. So, who is afraid of whom? I am very happy that I am no longer a part of CINTAA. They never stand by an artiste or their rights. No membership means less mess.”

It seems like ex-Angoori Bhabhi and controversy go hand in hand, even after the exit from the And TV show in February 2016 controversies keeps revolving around her.

The actress had filed a complaint against the producer of the show Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain Sanjay Kohli for sexual harassment. While on the other hand the producer and his wife Binaifer Kohli then filed a defamation case against Shilpa Shinde.
