Makrand Society in Mahim has taken up ‘Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan’ very seriously. This sea-facing society has made it mandatory to dispose-off dry and wet waste separately. They make manure out of wet waste and eliminate the dry waste very tactically.
Makrand Society has six buildings in which there are around 30 flats with a population of 120 people. Even though the society is huge, maintaining the cleanliness is worked to perfection.
It is one of the most beautiful and well-maintained societies of the G-North municipal division. There are a few water springs in this society and they are used to water the trees. The same water is used in toilets.
Makrand Society has set a good example for people.
Keep at it, Mumbaikars!
