An environmentalist said that pollution in the city has been increasing and due to construction, the sea breeze that diluted the pollutants, has been weakening. Due to which, the pollution instead of being diluted, is getting trapped and blocked which has resulted in the increase.

Meanwhile, a doctor said that the heat and dust have caused an increase of particulate matter in the environment which has led to an increase in diseases amongst the children and adults due to dust and toxic gases. He added that all these have eventually led to respiratory problems.
