It seems to be a long monsoon for Mumbai. While there are several reports suggesting that monsoon is all set to subside, the financial capital continues to get rainfall. On Friday too several parts of the city received scattered rainfall.

However, the intensity of the downpour was not inconsistent. Colaba recorded 6.2 mm of rainfall while Santa Cruz recorded 41.3 mm of rain, as per Skymet. The weather forecast predicts that the region will get more rainfall in the next two 2-3 days. In addition to this, the temperature to will oscillate between 24 degree Celsius and 32 degree Celsius.

According to a report by KPMG Mumbai suffered a loss worth ₹14,000 crore between 2005 and 2015 due to floods.  While it does not seem that the rain in the coming days will lead to flooding but water-logging cannot be ruled out. So head out with caution and don’t forget to carry your umbrella.
