The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has informed that parts of Maharashtra have received good rainfall between June 1 to June 23.
However, it has not rained much in most parts of Marathwada and parts of Vidarbha last week. Moreover, as per the IMD, in the upcoming four to five days, not much rain is expected to lash across the state either.

On the other hand, Mumbai has received 94 per cent of its average rainfall in June. Moreover, the constant downpour continues on Friday, June 11, waterlogging the streets of the island city.
Moreover, with showers continuing, the average precipitation is likely to be covered in the first fortnight of June itself. Since June 1, 474mm rainfall has been recorded in the city against the average monthly total of 505mm. In addition, meteorologists have reportedly stated that as much as 338mm of that is above normal for the period.
Meanwhile, Mumbai’s civic body, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Thursday, June 10 authorized an advisory on leptospirosis (a bacterial disease) amidst heavy rainfall in Mumbai.
Furthermore, the civic body warned the citizens stating that due to heavy rain that lashed Mumbai the previous day and the "very heavy" rain which has been predicted in the city, the cases of leptospirosis cases may spike.
