Uddhav Thackeray Oath-Taking : 100 Aarey Activists To Attend The Ceremony

Ahead of Uddhav Thackeray's oath-taking ceremony that is all set to be conducted on November 28, at 6:40 pm at Shivaji Park, 50-100 Aarey activists are all set to join in for the same to remind Uddhav Thackeray about his promises about Aarey.

Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray and Yuva Sena chief Aditya Thackeray had relentlessly opposed the felling of trees at Aarey Colony for the construction of Metro 3 (Colaba-Bandra-Seepz) car shed. Moreover, NCP MP Supriya Sule had joined the protest once and Congress had also taken this topic seriously during their campaign. Now that these parties are coming together for the formation of the government, the activists perceive it as a ray of hope in their struggle.

Talking about the same Aarey Activist and Founder of Let India Beathe Yash Marwah said, 

We understand that it will be difficult to meet and interact Uddhav Thackeray today and we wouldn't be able to get banners due to the security reason but around 50-100 Aarey activists will be there during the oath-taking ceremony just to remind the government about their promise. 

Shiv Sena Spokesperson Manisha Kayade had stated that no more trees will be cut at Aarey

Earlier this week, the Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress alliance had assured that no more trees will be cut at Aarey but did not comment anything further on halting or stopping the construction. Aarey petitioners Zoru Bathena and Stalin Dayanand have been demanding to declare Aarey as a forest as it is the only way to preserve the flora and fauna of the same. 

Notably, After Aditya Thackeray had won from Worli constituency #KyaHuaTeraVaada was trending on Twitter wherein Twitteratis were reminding him about his promise to save Aarey. Interestingly, after the former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis resigned, #AareyKaShraap was seen trending on Twitter.
