With an aim to serve the fasting commuters, Air India will prepare its dishes majorly from rock salt as North Indians generally eat food only made out of rock salt. Notably, this menu will not coincide with the regular menu. The menu will further include fasting foods like fruits, makhana dry fruit kheer, kuttu pakoda, yogurt and potato fries.

Air India has issued the notice to its catering and management department stating to make the necessary changes from September 29 to October 7. Food to Air India in Mumbai is supplied by Taj Sats.
