The Central Railway has started 306 special trains to various destinations like Madgaon, Sawantwadi Road, Ratnagiri, Khed, Chiplun, Pune, and Nagpur to manage the increased crowd during the Ganesh festival. In total, 380 Ganeshotsav special trains have been announced by Indian Railways to ensure passengers have a smooth and comfortable journey during the festival. Special arrangements have been made in Mumbai for devotees visiting places like Lalbaugcha Raja, Chinchpoklicha Chintamani, and areas around Lalbaug and Parel.

To handle the crowd, officers and commercial inspectors have been deployed at key stations such as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, Dadar, Lokmanya Tilak Terminus, Thane, and Panvel. Around 180 ticket checking staff are on duty to help manage the passenger flow. Special teams and additional ticket windows have also been arranged at Mumbai stations.

Curry Road and Chinchpokli stations, which are commonly used by devotees heading to Lalbaugcha Raja and Chinchpokli Chintamani, have been given extra attention. Extra facilities have been added here for boarding and alighting. Thirty Mobile-UTS systems have been distributed at stations like Chinchpokli, Curry Road, Byculla, Parel, Dadar, Cotton Green, Wadala Road, Thane, and Panvel to provide additional ticketing options.

Mobile ticketing and awareness teams will be present for ten days starting August 27 at six of these stations. Additional assistants and ticket checkers will be available at Chinchpokli and Curry Road stations around the clock, and two extra ticket windows will be opened at both these locations.
