The festival of Tirupati Balaji has been organised on February 25 at the ground of Premier Company on Shilphata road. Various religious programs will be held here from 6:30 am to late night. The aim of this program is to provide an opportunity to devotees who are not able to go to Tirupati to have darshan of Balaji at a local level. Lakhs of people will come for darshan on this occasion, MP Dr. Srikant Shinde, one of the organisers of the event, told a press conference here on Wednesday.
The festival is organised by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam and Dr. Shrikant Shinde Foundation. All religious rituals and other programs will be conducted here under the guidance of Tirupati Devasthanam. Balaji's religious rituals will begin at 6:30 am on Sunday morning. One thousand and eight couples will participate in the Kunkumarchan ceremony. The Abhishek ceremony will be held at this time. The priests of the Tirupati temple will perform the ritual prayers here. A special chariot has been ordered from Tirupati for Balaji's Rath Yatra. Rath Yatra will start from Balaji temple in Sagarli at 3:00 pm.
Lakhs of southern, local Marathi congregations from Mumbai, Thane, Raigad, Kalyan, Dombivli, Navi Mumbai will participate in the Rath Yatra. Balaji's marriage ceremony will take place in the evening time. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar will be present on this occasion.
Arrangements have been made for food for one and a half to two lakh devotees and the same number of ladoos in the festival. Many cultural programs will be held on the occasion of the festival. There will be electric lighting in the festival area. Devotees will get an opportunity to worship at this place like the worship done at Balaji temple in Tirupati.
