As the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi comes to and end, people bid farewell to their beloved Ganpati Bappa on the day of Anant Chaturdashi. As a result, the Ganpati idols are immersed in the sea and creeks, i.e. Visarjan, and the devotees let go off Ganpati Bappa and insist him to come back quickly next year.

However, when the procession of Ganesh Visarjan reaches the beaches, there is always a risk of any mishaps and therefore, Mumbai Police is appointed at immersion sites to avoid any untoward accidents.

Accordingly, in an attempt to celebrate the dedication shown by the officials, the residents of KN Bhatia building (Girgaon)arrange free food for the police officers working during Ganesh Chaturthi at the beaches.

Similarly, for the 18th year in a row, residents of KN Bhatia building at Prarthana Samaj served food and snacks to policemen deployed for Ganpati Visarjan duty at Girgaon Chowpatty.

Meanwhile, every year while the city celebrates the festival, police officers in Mumbai serve the citizens throughout the 11 days and avoid any accidents from taking place.
