A review meeting regarding preliminary preparations was held at the municipal headquarters in the background of public Ganeshotsav in Mumbai.


In the meeting, an important decision was taken today to reduce the deposit amount from INR 1000 to INR 100.


Along with this, 15 days before Ganeshotsav, proper precautions were taken by reviewing the immersion route, making all the immersion routes and all the roads on it free of potholes, increasing the number of artificial ponds in the city for Ganesha immersion, taking care that POP idols are properly dismantled after immersion.

Detailed issues from today's meeting


1. The deposit amount has been reduced from INR 1000 to INR 100 for Ganesha Sculptors.


2. On behalf of the Mumbai Municipal Corporation, arrangements will be made to sweeten the mouths of Ganesha devotees during the immersion period of Ganeshotsav


3. All the discharge routes and all the roads on it will be pothole free


4. Steps will be taken to curb and ban Chinese made idols


5. Every Ganesha Mandal will be cleaned by the Municipal Corporation 3 times a day at the place of public Ganeshotsav


6. Health camps will be held at public Ganeshotsav venues


7. 15 days before Ganeshotsav, the immersion route will be reviewed and proper precautions will be taken


8. Last year, police cases were filed against the vehicles being taken to immersion processions / Ganesha devotees in the Ganesh processions. Appropriate action will be taken to remove it.


9. The number of artificial ponds for Ganesha immersion will be increased in the city.


10. After the POP idols are immersed, they will be properly dismantled.
